The luminous principles expounded by Bhagwan Kunthunath — eternal Jain wisdom guiding every seeker from the bondage of karma to the boundless freedom of the soul.
Each principle is a constellation in the firmament of Jain dharma — together they form the sky beneath which the soul ascends to its highest destiny.
Non-Violence
Reverence for every living being is the supreme dharma. Bhagwan Kunthunath taught that the soul of a humble insect possesses the same infinite worth as that of an emperor — for the same eternal consciousness dwells within all.
Truthfulness
Speech, thought and deed must align in unwavering truth. To speak truth is to honour the soul’s essential nature — for the Self itself is luminous truth, untouched by deceit, beyond pretence.
Non-Attachment
True freedom is unburdened by possession. Bhagwan Kunthunath, who once wielded an empire, illuminated the truth that the soul’s sovereignty deepens precisely as its grip upon the transient loosens.
Compassion
Compassion is the spontaneous fragrance of an awakened heart. To suffer with another is to recognise the unity of all souls — and to sweeten the world with the nectar of selfless kindness.
Self-Control
The mind that masters its senses inherits a kingdom no army can conquer. Disciplined awareness over thought, speech and action transforms the seeker into the sovereign of his own soul.
Sacred Austerity
Tapas is the inner fire that consumes karmic impurity. Through fasting, study, meditation and selfless service, the soul refines itself, growing radiant as gold purified in the crucible.
Right Conduct
Right conduct is the loom upon which the fabric of liberation is woven. Aligned with right vision and right knowledge, it forms the Three Jewels — the eternal triple gateway to Moksha.
Liberation
Moksha is the final destiny — the soul restored to its eternal nature: pure consciousness, infinite knowledge, boundless bliss. In Siddhahood, all karmic bondage dissolves and the soul abides in absolute freedom.
Conquer thyself, and the universe surrenders. Bind every passion, and infinite freedom unfolds. The crown of the Self is the only crown that cannot be lost.— The Eternal Voice of Bhagwan Kunthunath
Right Vision, Right Knowledge and Right Conduct are inseparable companions on the soul’s ascent — three flames that together illuminate the way to liberation.
Right Vision — to perceive reality as it truly is, free from delusion. It is the awakening of the soul’s native faith in the truth of substance, modes and the eternal Self.
Right Knowledge — clear, doubt-free understanding of the nine Tattvas and the path of liberation. Knowledge that uplifts the soul from confusion into pristine clarity.
Right Conduct — disciplined, ethical living grounded in the great vows. Conduct that translates illuminated vision and knowledge into the lived poetry of the awakened soul.
The five sacred vows undertaken by every soul aspiring to absolute liberation — the inner architecture of the Tirthankara’s path.
Absolute non-violence in mind, speech and action.
Unwavering truthfulness in every utterance.
Non-stealing — taking nothing not freely given.
Sacred celibacy — purity of body and spirit.
Non-possession — freedom from worldly grasping.
